We're Home!

Claire and I made it home safely, although Claire was VERY sick on the way home. She had food poisoning before, during, and after the plane rides. Please pray for her, I was up with her basically all night, but she is much better this morning. Luckily there were no screaming babies on these plane flights. Thank you so much for reading our blog, we hope you enjoyed it. We may still write in it every once in a while with wedding stuff so stay subscribed if you'd like. See you all soon!

Livin' in Luxury

Hello people! Yesterday we went to the Rodin Museum, you know; the dude who sculpted the dude who thinks alot, dude, "The Thinker." We enjoyed that museum alot, we were shocked about how many sculpters he made. The museum had an outdoor garden area which was filled with his sculptures. Claire and Kim felt like they were in Alice in Wonderland. It was really whimsical. After that we checked out a cathedral that wasn't real touristy. It was GORGEOUS. It was completely quiet in the church and it was very moving to be in the House of the Lord. It was also neat to see how many young adults, like us, came to pray. And dad, (Bob Barnett), the chimes in the bell tower were the same as your cell phone ringtone.

Today we checked out of the old hotel and went to our new hotel. Let's just say that it's the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The room is amazing, the service is exceptional, and the price wasn't too nail biting. It's called the La Tour Maubourg if you want to Google it. We missed home, but not anymore....just kidding....kinda. Tomorrow is our last day and we plan on a nice and somewhat fancy dinner, although tonight was pretty fancy. Let's just say that I ordered a fish that stared back at me while I ate its insides (this is Kellen speaking by the way). It was good, but never again will I order fish like that, nor order something that I can't read off the menu. The dessert we had, which was a chocolate mousse (absolutely delicious) made up for my barbarianism. The bowl was the size of Claire, but mousse-like. Thank you Samantha Brown for the suggestion.

Now we are at Hotel Amazing, using the free internet. We are sad to leave Paris and return to days of jetlag again, but we are excited to see you all. Please pray that we don't have anymore screaming babies on this flight, that was probably the worst flight of our lives. We may blog once more, but if not, thank you so much for the comments and attention you have given this blog. It means alot to us. We love you so much!

Sweaty Bottom

Below are random pictures of the trip, enjoy....

It's hot. From the pictures above, you judge how fun Paris is. So yesterday we went to Brussels. There wasn't much to do, the locals hated us, and it smelled like urine EVERYWHERE. We still made the best of it and had some really tasty Belgian goodness (chocolate and waffles and so on). Our train stopped in a very shady area and we ran into some VERY interesting people. Today has been a day of relaxation. We picked up lunch and took it to the Eiffel Tower and had a picnic in the shade. Then we got ice cream and sat next to the Seine River in the shade. This is our first day of relaxing and taking Paris in, for what she is (ooo la la). We can't wait to see you all again. We love you!!!

Ca chatouille

This morning we had a great breakfast. Claire had a croque monsieur with tomatoes and a fried egg on top (Jeremy and Lynnea, you were right, they are so good). Kellen had ha, and eggs, and they werent green. Today we ventured out to the Sacre Coure, which is a huge cathedral in Northern Paris. The area was quite ghetto, but the cathedral was amazing. When we went inside during a service and it was beautiful. Unfortunately, they wouldnt let us take pictures inside. Then we went up the bell tower which is the highest point in Paris. It was neat because you could circle the tower and see every part of Paris. Then we went to the Opera House. That was one of the most intricate architectural monuments ever built. It was absolutely gorgeous. Our time here has been wonderful. We are trying hard to see as much as we can so we have time to relax in the end. We are going to try and post pictures tonight. Tomorrow we head to Brussels, Belgium. Until then, have a great day!

-Heres a blog for you Steph Larson, hehe

We love you all,

All I want to tell you right now over the internet is it was perfect and I cried a lot. Ryan- The ring is so beautiful. It means so much to me that you made it. Libby- you are so sweet! I have already taged a million pages in my magazine. Thank you for the sweet card. You're another good liar. Other then that news, we are having a fantastic time! we climbed the arch today and had really superb food. We're across the street from a really good pastry shop. I can't wait to see you all in person and we miss you all.

BONJOUR!!!

Well we have been here for about 8 hours so far and everything is beautiful. It was probably one of the worst flights we have both experienced, but we made it. Nothing like 2 screaming babies, loud foreigners and a woman who reaked of alcohol to set the tone. It is 8:30 pm here and we are about to get some food. We will keep you updated and post pictures most likely tomorrow, when jet lag settles (and it's hitting us hard!) We love you all!
